"Pilot says we'll be landing in about 10 minutes," Robin said to her client and friend Elton. Elton thanked her and got out of his seat to run to the bathroom to quickly change. He had been stuffed in his Tom Ford suit all day doing a press tour for his latest film that opened this weekend. They were heading to New York on his jet from L.A. but made a quick stop at a small airport in Middle Georgia. Elton came out of the bathroom wearing his old hoodie and some jeans. He let his beard get out of control in hopes of being able to walk about the area without causing much of a stir. "You look great," Robin told him sarcastically, "Oh, I just got a call from Matt and he's saying tickets have surpassed $90 million. Do you think we can break a hundred before midnight?" He smirked and gave her that pompous movie star confident response "Uh yea, of course it will because I'm amazing." They shared a laugh as the plane landed. When Elton got out, he could see his mother in law, Denise, waiting for him near the private entrance area to the runway. He walked up and hugged her. "How've you been, mom?" She replied with her usual "One day at a time" response which had become her own little catchphrase these past couple of years. While Robin and the rest of the crew stayed behind, Denise and Elton got in her truck and they drove out of the airport and onto the highway for awhile. They caught up while on the road. She asked him how long he had to visit, to which he replied only a couple of hours, then she nagged him about his new movie being way too violent. When they reached the town of Dublin, they passed by the road that she lived on and made their way a few miles near a large hill where she owned more land. When they made it to the top and passed a couple of houses, she parked the car and let Elton out. "I'll be back in a couple of hours," she told him. He reached over and kissed her on the cheek and got out. He walked into the field, passing by several headstones until he reached the furthest one out and sat by it. "Mi amor," he said to it, "I bet you thought I wasn't going to make it, huh? Well, I wouldn't miss seeing you for the world. I thought about this all week long. Robin's probably gonna kill me because I haven't put much effort into this tour but, really, the movie has already grossed $90, so who cares, right?" The entire area around him had been quiet, but the wind picked up, brushing against Elton's beard. He smiled and continued talking to his wife.
